Dan Scully is a film journalist/critic, novelist, and filmmaker whose work in film has been featured in digital and print publications since 2014. His work in film journalism has brought him to film festivals and press events around the world. His history in stand-up comedy has informed his writing style, which mixes scholarly dissection with biting humor. Dan believes that criticism itself can be an art form, and it’s the critics duty to not just inform, but entertain the reader.  

In 2025 Dan pivoted to a role behind the camera by writing, directing, and starring in PEAK FORM, an original found footage horror film which takes aim at the excesses of the manosphere.
