Debbie Higgins
Debbie is a veteran film critic and filmmaker with over 40 years in the industry. She began her career at a small newspaper and has since written for four major review firms and contributed to the published Zagat Movie Guide. Today, she provides film analysis for leading streaming platforms.
As a filmmaker, Debbie has created 16 films, including the award-winning Snake Hill, which aired on PBS and received recognition at major festivals. She is also a director and moderator of three film festivals, including the internationally recognized Jersey Shore Film Festival and two celebrated horror genre events.
With a background in theater and show business, Debbie brings a rich, multidimensional perspective to her work. A passionate advocate for classic cinema, she is dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacy of Hollywood’s golden age with audiences across generations. Debbie has a weekly YouTube show on Bold Media Films called The Reel Watch List +.
Marquee Classic Movies is a film series Debbie created to bring iconic movies back to the big screen with an immersive experience(red carpet, trivia etc.) at Basie Cinema center Red Bank, NJ. It is the second Thursday of every month. For more info, visit marqueeclassicmovies.com.
